A vision for our existence with God that is based on peace is crucial in a world that often feels like it is overtaken by violence. It is not difficult to locate violence; in fact, it frequently finds us. This includes violence within ourselves as well as between people, communities, and nations. The destructive force that rips through everything’s foundation is violence. But in Jesus, we witness a way of life that breaks the cycle of violence and re-establishes the relationship between people and God.
When we engage in artistic endeavors out of a violent place, it is our wounds that determine what is most real about the universe and defines that truth through formulaic artistic expression. The circle of violence is unavoidable, and individuals are not exempt from it.
Jesus guides us away from violence and into a path of peace. The fact that we have peace with God gives us a different perspective on what it means to be human.
Jesus clears the path for humanity, and peace serves as the source of all of our creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Our creative process gains depth as pain progresses and produces character, perseverance, and hope. The soul of the creative individual endures great suffering.
